Best Laser Treatment for Melasma?

I treated my melasma last year with triluma and Chemical peels which helped but in the last month it's coming back with a vengeance. I live in Southern CA and am a swimmer/runner. I can do a much better job with sunscreen and wearing hats. I really want to get rid of these ugly brown spots.

Should I look into laser in combination with topical stuff? And, is it bad to do these in the summer even if you commit to sunblock and hats daily?
