Hyaluronic acid fillers are best

Dear Asian Girl

Please note that with regard to fillers, there do not appear to be any ethnic differences.

Generally, I strongly encourage people to stay way from the so-called permanent or semi permanent fillers. This include agents like Sculptra, Artefill, and Radiesse.

The beauty of the hyaluronic fillers like Restylane and Perlane is that there agents can be modified even long after a treatment. An enzyme called hyaluronidase can be used to modifiy these filler treatment if the need arise.

Why do doctors recommend other fillers? Doctors are not immune to market forces. Some of these fillers are much less expensive for the doctor creating the opportunity for more profit. However, these semi permanent fillers lack the ability to be adjusted. The ability to have something erased if there is an issue is well worth the higher costs.

Hyaluronic acid fillers first

Ethinicity will not make a big difference but the choice of the injector and the product. Start with hyaluronic acid fillers to test the water ,later you can move to more permanant ones if you need them.Hope that helps!

The Best Facial Filler for Asian Patients

Hi AA,

There is not a single filler that is best in all situations and for all patients.  I have not heard of an ethnic filler difference.  Your best bet is to choose a board certified cosmetically trained physician and go over what is best for you.  Good luck and be well.
