Benzoyl Peroxide and Hydroquinone While Undergoing Fraxel Treatments?

I'm on my 5th Fraxel session, and I started breaking out again, so I decided to use Pro-Active. Is it okay to use products with Benzoyl peroxide and Hydroquinone while undergoing Fraxel treatments?

Breaking out after Fraxel - What to use?

Hydroquinone can be used between Fraxel treatments and can be beneficial if you tend to develop pigmentation either melasma or post-inflammatory hyperpimentation. We do have patients who develop some pustules or an acne flare after Fraxel and often respond to oral doxycylcline. Proactiv may be too drying and irritating after Fraxel. Make sure you let your doctor know what you are using after your Fraxel treatments and ask if they recommend antibiotics to prevent further breakouts. I hope... more
