I am 7 days post Brazilian butt lift, is it normal for your hips/tights to look wider after BBL?

At just 7 days post op, you should absolutely expect to still have swelling. Be patient with the process, but speak with your plastic surgeon if you are concerned. If this is a procedure that they perform often, he/she should have prepared you for the recovery process by telling you what to expect. I perform about 7 BBLs per week and make sure that all of my patient's know that their butt will be much bigger than they wanted for the first 2-3 weeks due to swelling.

You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient​. After a BBL, only about 70% of the transferred fat cells will survive, so it is normal to see a minor reduction in your buttocks. If you have any concerns, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

It normally takes 3 to 4 months for 90% swelling to go away after a liposuction or Brazilian but lift. You are very swollen at one week after surgery. By about three weeks after surgery about 50% of swelling will be gone away. It's impossible to tell what the final result will be at seven days. You should see a change but this is nothing like the results and see in six months. I've had plenty of patients there were afraid the buttocks was too big at one week but at three months they thought the buttocks was too small. Don't worry and give yourself time.
