Bumped Heads a Week After Stitch Removal. Now Purple Under Wound/Scar. Dangerous?

My two year old son had 5 stitches in his forehead. Accident Labor Day. Stitches removed last Saturday. It looked good. Today he head butted with our 60lbs dog and it looks very purple underneath. No bleeding on outside but maybe bleeding inside? Should I bee concerned? Should we take him to doctor? Will it make the scar worse? HelP please.

Forehead scars

The bruise may be a sign of minor bleeding underneath the scar. Important to note is whether the sutures came apart.
