Can I chose to have only part of the recommended surgeries during a mommy makeover?

Mommy makeover is any combination surgery for moms. As you know, our body changes during and after pregnancy. Most times, moms have deflation of breasts and excess skin/fat as well as stretched out muscle of the abdomen. Mommy makeover often times entails breast augmentation with/without lift and tummy tuck. Mommy Makeover What Is Included?
Thank you for your question.
Yes many women decide to have only one element of a Mommy Makeover, usually a Breast Augmentation with Implants or a Tummy Tuck.
As originally described by Dr Stevens a Mommy Makeover was procedures designed to correct Breast and Tummy changes that occur during pregnancy.
Most commonly it combined a Breast Lift, Breast Augmentation with Implants and a Tummy Tuck. The Tummy Tuck can be a Mini, or in the case of split abdominal muscles a Full Abdominoplasty with repair of the Diastasis Recti.
For many women a Breast Augmentation with Implants and a Mini Tummy Tuck are all that is required

What Are The Five Elements That Usually Make Up A Mommy Makeover?
The five elements that are normally discussed in a Mommy Makeover are:
1. Tummy tuck with correction of separated muscles
2. Liposuction of one or more areas (baby fat)
3. Breast enhancement (lift, augmentation or both)
5. Dealing with the mask of pregnancy
Choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with lots of experience in the Mommy Makeover. You can certainly choose to do all of these procedures at once or break these up into multiple surgeries based on the good advice of your plastic surgeon.

Great question! Generally speaking, a "mommy makeover" is a set of surgeries designed to correct the changes that happen after pregnancy. But every women's body is different and every women's body responds differently to pregnancy, so the best thing for you to do is meet with at least one board certified plastic surgeon who will examine you and discuss your goals and desires with you. Then, the two of you can create a plan that works for you. It will usually involve at least a tummy tuck with liposuction and a breast augmentation, with or without a lift. I hope that helps and wish you the best of luck!
The term "mommy makeover" was coined to address the trauma to the body brought on by pregnancy and the surgery to correct this trauma. Pregnancy may result in loss of volume in the breasts, sagging of the breasts, loose skin and stretch marks on the abdomen, and increased fat in the hips and thighs. Surgery to correct these issues include breast lift and/or breast augmentation, tummy tuck, and liposuction. These are all procedures that are frequently done individually. When done collectively, however, we usually refer to them as a mommy makeover.
What is a Mommy Makeover?
The term Mommy Makeover includes combining cosmetic enhancement of the breasts and tummy in one operation.
The name Mommy Makeover comes from the common request for restoration ("makeover") of the aesthetics of the breasts and abdomen after the changes to those body parts after pregnancy.
The breast procedures may entail any of the following individually or in combination:
- fat grafting
- breast lift
- breast reduction
- release of retracted nipple
The tummy procedures may include:
- numerous techniques, from mini- to full- to extended
- C-section scar revision
- reshaping of the umbilicus (belly button)
- treatment of stretch marks

What Are the Basic Elements of a Mommy Makeover
The most common Mommy Makeover is some type of procedure on the abdomen and one on the breast. The tummy parts could be just liposuction or a full versus a mini tummy tuck. The breast can be an augmentation, or a lift or both. The surgeries can be split up too at a patient’s request.
What Makes a Mommy Makeover?
A mommy makeover is usually a combination of a tummy tuck, breast surgery (breast lift, breast augmentation sometimes a breast reduction) and usually some liposuction. The term mommy makeover has been coined because it is usually this combination that women who have had children need to get their pre-pregnancy figure back. Of course you can opt for any part of this combination if that is all you want or need. Keep in mind though that a full tummy tuck should not be performed until you have finished having all the children that you want.

What is a mommy makeover?
Most surgeons refer to a "mommy makeover" as a series of cosmetic surgery procedures intended to restore a woman’s figure after pregnancy. I perform these procedures as part of a “mommy makeover” for patients who want an improved figure after having children. Pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding can take a serious toll on a woman’s body, and many moms find that no amount of diet and exercise can restore their pre-baby figures.
Procedures commonly performed during mommy makeovers include:
Abominoplasty (tummy tuck)Breast Augmentation +/- Lift, or Breast Lift only without implants, liposuction
These procedures can be performed in one stage or multiple stages depending on the patient's goals, health status and other screening criteria. After pregnancy, breasts can lose their youthful position and shape, the tummy can become stretched and lose its tone, and extra fat may get deposited in areas that are not so flattering. The plastic surgery procedures above are intended to correct those conditions and help restore your pre-pregnancy figure.
Best of luck.
