What's the Average Amount of Restylane Used on Nasolabial Folds?

What is the average cc necessary for nasolabial folds or "smile lines" for moderate folds? I haven't had any Restylane to date, just inquiring on the average amount of cc necessary.

Amount of Restylane used in the nasolabial folds

Restylane is a very popular and effective hyaluronic acid-base dermal filler. It has been used widely throughout the face for the correction of deep lines and wrinkles. The nasolabial folds were the first area that Restylane was used. This is definitely one of the patients favorites. The amount of Restylane necessary to treat this area depends on the quality of the skin and the depth of the nasolabial fold. Typically, patients receive one syringe per nasolabial fold. One syringe of Restylane or Juvederm often enough.

Hi. Your folds don't look deep, and it is best to start slow. I think one syringe of Restylane or Juvederm would probably be enough, but be prepared for getting an additional one.

Restylane in the nasolabial folds

Every patient requires different amounts of facial filler. That be said, younger patients can often get away with just one syringe, while older patients may require 2 or more.

Restylane for nasolabial folds

The amount used depends on how deep your nasolabial folds are, and how much correction you are interested in achieving. 1-2 syringes (1.0 mL each) are typical for the nasolabial folds for full correction.
