I am 5 weeks post breast lift and my incisions are painful, hard and red. This is on BOTH breasts. Does this look like cellulitis? I will see my surgeon layer this week for a routine check up. I was just wondering if I need to get an appointment sooner or if this is part of a normal healing progression? I have had this for about 2 weeks along with occasional shooting pain.

If you had large implants placed; this could be contributing to the problem. You need to wait at least 6 months before considering revision lift and possible smaller implants and additional support from an acellular dermal matrix such as strattice. Donald R. Nunn MD Atlanta...
Breast lifts are pretty universally considered cosmetic. The only coverage that occurs is when it is done to match a reconstructed breast following mastectomy. All the best.
