Areola Scarred Down to Pectoralis Muscle After Gynecomastia Surgery, How to Correct?

Typically, how is the release performed of the scar tissue that tethers the nipple area to the pec muscle? I am almost 3 months post gynecomastia surgery. Thanks in advance.

Correction of “Scarred Down” area after Gynecomastia Surgery?

Thank you for the question. Yes, revisionary surgery may improve the “crater deformity”. The surgery may involve the combination of peripheral liposuction around the depressed area and grafting to fill the depressed area. Make sure that you are consulting with well experienced board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes.

Bad gynecomastia surgery can be corrected.

Hi. Hard to know without examining you, but Alloderm and/or fat injections under the nipples can help a lot.
