Local anesthesia for microphlebectomy
Microphlebectomy is a procedure whereby tiny puncture wounds are made to remove inflamed cords of varicose veins, typically from the lower extremities. Local anesthesia such as 1% lidocaine or tumescent anesthesia is used for this procedure and is very effective. I do the procedure in the office and patients are discharged to return to ALL activities immediately after leaving the office.
