Most menstrual cups are made of medical grade silicone. I want to purchase one but have been reluctant because I had a reaction to a support hose which had silicone bands. I experienced itching, redness, hot to the touch and bruises on my legs which took weeks to go away. This would only happen when wearing the silicon hosiery. Should I not purchase a menstrual cup made of medical grade silicone because I may experience the same reaction?
