Effects of alcohol on aging skin

Excessive drinking would accelerate aging but certainly one glass of wine per month probably would not cause permanent aging. Cigarette smoking, excessive alcohol intake, and sun exposure can all cause acceleration of aging.

A Glass of Wine per Month and Aging

I can safely tell you that a glass of wine per month will have no significant effect on the aging process of your skin. Smoking and sun exposure play a far more significant role in how you look and for how long you look good.

Moderate wine intake can possibly improve sun protection

There is increasing data the some of th compounds found in wine can improve the skin's ability to withstand sun damage. So while excessive drinking usually goes along with other activities that can lead to wrinkling and aging (smoking, sun exposure, etc), there should be nothing to worry about with moderate alcohol intake with regards to skin agong, particularly wine.
