Alcohol Consumption in Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty results are not currently adversely affected by alcohol consumption, however, it may prolong some swelling early post operatively. That is why I don’t recommend alcohol consumption for 3 weeks after any cosmetic procedure.

The answer is both. Alcohol can cause bleeding, if consumed in large quantities, after a Rhinoplasty. The bleeding creates swelling but also internal scar tissue formation that blunts the final result.

Alcohol Consumption After Rhinoplasty....NOT!

Dear Oregon Ducks, It was a poor decision to watch that first game beating that the Oregon Ducks suffered at the hand of LSU right after your rhinoplasty. That beating drove many a die hard Duck fan to drink. Whether it effects your rhinoplasty results depends on how much you drank, how soon after, and how many times you fell on your face.
