I had a full tt and muscle repair done last year. I was unhappy because I had this big muffin top.. So he said lipo would take care of it. So, 2 weeks ago I had lipo done on my flanks, hips and "suppose to be my stomach". I still have the same big muffin top. Is this possible if he performed lipo on that part of my stomach? Im beginning to question if he just did my flanks. I am not a big obese person. He was supposed to do an anchor cut last year but he chose during the surgery not to do it.

Answer: Revision after a tummy tuck It sounds like you might need to have a revision with more liposuction. Talk with your plastic surgeon about this to see if it can be done at a reduced cost.

Answer: Liposuction is a common adjunct to abdominoplasty. Two weeks after liposuction it's too early to make a pronouncement about the final result. I certainly would bring this to the attention of your plastic surgeon for reassurance.

You are still early after your surgery so give it a chance to settle down. Ask your plastic surgeon if he did liposuction in the areas of concern.

Answer: Unhappy with results I am sorry that you are unhappy. Lipo results at three weeks are very unlikely to look how you are going to look long term. Swelling after liposuction is a normal part of the healing process. Allow a little more time for things to evolve then look at pre and postop pictures with your doctor. If there is an improvement, you can feel better about yourself and your results. If they do not show improvement, you can have an honest discussion about why not.Best,Dr. Pyle
