I'm an African American female with embrassing acne blemishes on my butt? How do I get rid of them? Some are deep and others are not? I've thought about a chemical peel but am embarassed to approah my dermatologist with the request. I tried to see a new Dr. but she wants to try an expensive non-steroid topical cream that isn't working.

Acne blemishes on bum
There are various treatment options for treating acne anywhere on the body, and the bum is no different. To treat and prevent pimples on the bum, and at the same time help fade the hyperpigmentation/markings, I would start with a topical vitamin A or azelaic acid product by prescription from your dermatologist. Other options like chemical peels, body washes etc., are best discussed with your doctor during your consultation.

Pimples on the buttocks may be a sign of local irritation from clothing. After an evaluation to determine its cause a topical antibiotic solution often clears the problem.
