To remove excess fatty skin from lower belly area and inner thighs I have lost 100 pounds in the eight year process. Now I want to have a firm body and a breast lift as I am 58. Weight is 115 from 210.
Answer: I can't afford liposuction, what can i do?
Thank you for your question. Congratulations on such a significant weight loss. Unfortunately,no cream, laser, ultrasound or other non surgical procedure will give you the firm body you are looking for. Since you have lost so much weight I would be inclined to think that your lower belly and inner thighs will need to have both the fat AND the skin surgically removed in order to reach your goals. Please be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon who will examine you and then give you your options.

Answer: Tightening skin after amazing weight loss
Congratulations! That is very impressive, you should be so very proud! I wish that I could give you the name of a cream or some non-surgical treatment but unforntunately, there isn't one. The only way to tighten skin and loose those last stubborn fatty deposits are through surgery, and probably not liposuction. If you are complaining specifically about your lower abdomen and inner thighs, than you are looking at a panniculectomy and thighplasty. Liposuction could make you look worse by taking even more volume and causing more sagging of your skin.
No matter what you are able to do surgically, you should be so proud of your weight loss and how you have improved your overall health. Good luck to you!

Answer: Excess Skin after Mega Weight Loss
Wow. You are a champ! You should share your story to let us know how you lost the weight and are keeping it off.
For getting rid of the excess fatty skin after all that weight loss there is only one thing that will help. That is surgical excision. Please don't waste a dime on any other treatment although there are plenty of scams that will try to tempt you.
Have you thought of going to a University Medical Center? They often have programs to do surgeries that people cannot afford. You might have your surgery done by a person in training under the supervision of a more experienced doctor. Check it out and see if it feels right for you.

Answer: Liposuction after weight loss
The way to understand liposuction is that it removes fat cells in a specific area without cutting anything in order to reduce the proportion of fat cells in that area to the minimum. It is not a weight loss procedure and it does nothing to the muscle, supporting tissues, or skin in spite of a lot of wishful thinking and attempts to control tissue tone and contraction. It is a cosmetic procedure to change proportions in certain areas. In order to save cost I would look for an experienced plastic surgeon who routinely does liposuction under local anesthesia without requiring the patient to undergo general anesthesia or even IV sedation unless the patient prefers it and is will to bear the additional costs.
