What Are my Acne Scar Treatment Options After Having Microdroplet Silicone Injections?

I had microdroplet silicone injections followed by subcision to treat my rolling and icepick acne scars 3 years ago. Today, my scars are back and worse than ever and I don't know why when I thought silicone was a permanent filler? Also, I want to again try to treat my scars but without laser resurfacing, what are my best options? I am worried that my options are now limited due to having silicone injections. Would more silicone injections help?

Silikon-1000 may be used by experienced physicians for treating broad-based acne scars.

I read your concerns. If you have broad-based acne scars, Silikon-1000 may be used for improvement of your acne scars. Ice-pick scars do not respond well to silicone treatments. It would be very important to carefully evaluate your face, scars and areas of Silicone injection.

The Silicone does complicate matters, depending on how much has been injected and also how your scars have responded. If you have extensive Silicone nodules, the options could be limited. Seek consultation with someone who has extensive experience in acne scar treatment and in the use of Silicone.
