How to Get Rid of Mild Dark Spots and Flaking from Breakouts?

Whenever I have a serious pimple I will pop it and get rid of it. Sometimes, it leaves a scab. When the scab disappears, there is usually a dark spot and my skin flakes from that spot. I've recently started using Tazorac and it has helped with my overall complexion but not with the aforementioned problems. What product can I use to fix this?
