Acne Breakout Caused by PCOS?

I clean my face everyday, and I am still breaking out. I used to get one or two and I used Proactiv and it helped. It did not leave the marks on my skin, but I am noticing that I have more break outs, and they are not small. They are cyst-like. I read about the PCOS and I was wondering, are there some signs and symptoms to know if i have the PCOS? Or only a ob/gyn can figure this out?
