Accutane for seborrheic dermatitis

This is an interesting question.  Accutane is certainly no indicated for seborrheic dermatitis and the side effect profile presents more risks than benefits.  However, accutane modifies oil glands as it treats acne and seborrheic dermatitis is mediated by oil gland activity as well.  While accutane would certainly impact seborrheic dermatitis in a positive manner, it is not a practical treatment option for this otherwise benign condition.
