Would Abdominoplasty Be Covered by Insurance for a Person with Crohns Disease?

I have Crohn's Disease and had several hernias due to a small bowel resection many years ago. These hernias were causing blockage, which in turn caused pain and vomiting.

I had an abdominoplasty and when my doctor was done with the surgery he told me I was "a mess" and they would submit to my insurance co. I hounded them to submit the claim and finally after a year my insurance company paid a portion of the surgery.

The doctors office is refusing to reimburse me. Does this sound right?
