I am 8 weeks post FTT w/muscle repair. I have very lax fascia and in order to have a flatter abdomen, I need to work my core & rectus muscles as well as my muscle tone. I am holding in and tightening my ab muscles for now but is there a list of ab exercises that I can do safely? Pilates? Planks? If so, when? My doctor recommended 6 months but that seems like a long time. Before surgery, I lifted weights, did cardio & ab work on a regular basis & had a body fat of 13%. I am 5'3" & weigh 118.

Work the core

Have you tried yoga, by far the best core workout I've done. try hot yoga for a real challenge. don't waste yuor time with situps, you'll end up hurting your lower back.

Tummy tucks and exercise

I tell my clients that they can do most exercises as early as six weeks and abs at 12 weeks. Obviously, opinions on this vary. I don't think anyone has done a study to decide this.
