Yes, it is possible to inject to the hips

Ricardo Rodriguez, MD answers: Would Brazilian Butt Lift help fix my hips?

I am a 20 year old female and I’m considering a Brazilian butt lift, but I’m not sure if it will fix my concerns.

My buttocks are fine, perky and full. I wouldn't mind them being a little bigger. I just have no hips and I feel as though it throws my whole silhouette off. (I also feel like I may be asymmetrical)

My measurements are 34-26-34. I would love for my measurements to be 34-24-37. Any suggestions? Would a Brazilian butt lift fix my hipless problem or should I consider another procedure?

I get frequent requests for adding fat to the hips.

The procedure is essentially the reverse of when you do lipo to the hips, except that I also inject a little bit higher into the area above the hip bone (the supratrochanteric adhesion plane).

The recovery period is a little bit more complicated in that the patient has to avoid not only putting pressure in her buttocks, but also on her sides. This limits her post op positioning to sleeping on her stomach. During the day the patient must avoid sitting or laying on her sides, unless she props herself up with many pillows to keep her hips free of any pressure.

Having said this, many patients are motivated to do it and seem to tolerate the positioning restrictions quite well. You have to be committed to a 3 week postoperative period of positioning limitations to give the grafts the best chance of survival.

Hey there UnSureAboutIt
I understand your concern. No one is perfectly even, but if this bothers you, I believe it can be improved. From the information you provide, what I would recommend is the Brazilian, removing excess fat from your low back/flank region as well as a small amount from the lateral thighs (at the level of the infra-gluteal crease), taking a slightly greater amount from the right lateral thigh than the left. I would then inject the fat into your buttocks for projection as well to make your buttocks slightly more round, filling out your hip region.
