Arnold R. Oppenheim, MD answers: Will nose scars after Electrolysis improve?

I am left with scars around my nose after red vein electrolysis treatment three weeks ago. One scar is quite deep and sunken, and is painful to touch. I have started to use Contractubex gel on the scars but haven't noticed any improvements after 10 days of use. Will these scars improve?

My recommendation for this type of scar would be either Biafine or Scar Guard.

If the area pigments then I would recommend something with hydoquinone ond/or kojic acid.

It would also be best to return to the physician or pracitioner who performed the electorlysis to evaluate the areas.
