Short answer: I have not heard anyone recommend the Alma Pixel for seborrheic dermatitis.
Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin rash that occurs on the sebum (oil) rich areas of the face. We most commonly see it along the alar creases (the grooves on the lower nose) and around the eyebrows. The rash usually has a red background with overlying branny or greasy scales. We believe it is a reaction some people have to a normal level of Malassezia organisms in these lipid-rich areas of the face.
Treating seborrheic dermatitis is generally with creams and lotions. Nizoral (ketoconazole) is used very commonly for this purpose. It is possible that the Pixel laser could decrease levels of Malassezia in these areas of the face, but it would be unlikely to have an extended effect, since the levels in seborrheic dematitis are normal.
The Pixel laser is an excellent choice for fine resurfacing, which creates a polished appearance to the skin.
