When the effect of Botox and Restylane wears off, you may return to your old self, but certainly not worse. If anything you might look slightly better than if you did not have them at all. The reason for this is that Botox temporarily paralyzes the affected muscle. There might be slight difficulty in the restoration of the neuromuscular transmission (the activation of the muscle by the nerve). This might make that muscle slightly weaker than it was before. Most likely too slight to make a real difference, but if there is any difference it would make the wrinkle slightly less.
There are some studies that show that Restylane may provoke a little bit of collagen remodeling. Such collagen remodeling would make you look a little bit younger after-wards.
We get asked a similar question when we discuss Rogaine. If I stop using it will my hair fall out? The answer is yes, but no worse than if you had never used it at all.
I agree with Dr. Recihner that it would be important to find a good board certified plastic surgeon to help address your skin care issues. I might add that our specialty of dermatology has also made some significant advances in the knowledge of skin and skin care.
One piece of advice would be to make sure you have these procedures done well before the wedding. Your Botox might have to be tweaked. Similarly, if there is a problem with your Restylane injections this can be corrected quite easily with a return visit to your physician.
Also, make sure that you inform your physician that you are getting married. Your physician might be especially cautious to make sure there is not an adverse event that would spoil the big event.
