Steven Hacker, MD answers: Who is qualified to inject Botox?

I'm thinking about getting Botox injections in my forehead but I don't know what qualifications/education pratitioners need to do Botox injections.

Thefollowing board certified medical specialties are appropriate to administer Botox or Dysport: Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology.

I would recommend only physicians that have had extensive experience administering Botox. I do not recommend non-physicians to administer Botox or Dysport.
