Fraxel laser

Edward D. Buckingham, MD answers: White patches after Fraxel Laser

I had one session of Fraxel a few weeks ago and had white patches all over my face afterwards. What are these white patches? Also Dr. refused to do in between eyebrows and when I asked him why he said just didn’t.

Don't worry about the white patches after Fraxel.  This is only a temporary area of hypopigmentation.  It will resolve.  Even in cases where there is significant hypopigmentation it is only inflammatory and not true dyspigmentation (complete loss of pigment)  I can't answer why the MD wouldn't treat in between the eyes.
