May need a revision surgery to allow the implant to drop

Jeffrey Zwiren, MD answers: When will right implant settle after Breast Augmentation and Lift?

I am 3 1/2 months post op from a breast lift and augmentation. My left breast is fabulous but my right one is still very high. I've been massaging but don't see any difference. When should I start getting concerned?

One of the problems with surgery of the breast is symmetry.  Eventhough the same procedure is performed on each side the breasts act like they are on two different women.  You did not mention if your implants are above or below the muscle but with placed in the subglandular position it is not unusual for th muscle to elevate the implant to an abnormally high position.  It takes about 4 - 6 weeks for the capsule to form around the implant, once fully established it may never drop.  At 3 1/2 months the implant  may never drop and you may benefit from a release of the lower capsule.  This will help the breast drop into position.
