i enjoy viewing doctors sites for there breast augmentation pics. what i wonder is what to look for.  what makes a good breast job?  what's a bad one? what pics should i not trust??

First of all, for any surgeon you should see several photos displaying a range of sizes and "looks."  These pictures should not be photographically altered or retouched.  They should show very natural results and some whose result is a bit fuller than natural because some patients want that.  Then ask if the kind of results you are seing are appealing to you and ask yourself honestly what kind of starting point you have for surgery.  Some patients have better starting points than others and these are the ones who get the home run results mostly.
