I'm sort of on the verge of needing a breast lift and wondering if the scars are not worth the trade-off... what kind of incisions or techniques leave the least amount of scarring?

Hi Marian,

The best breast lift option for you must include consideration of many issues in addition to the amount of scarring, but be sure that the surgeon you see has expertise in performing vertical pattern breast lift.  Binelli can give a nice initial result, but as all the tension is around the areolar incision, the scar can widen and thicken where you would least want a bad scar.  The vertical pattern combines a short and well hidden scar with the advantage of minimal tension at the areolar scar, and so can give a result superior to other options.
