Lower body lift

John Philip Di Saia, MD answers: What is a lower body lift?

What results can I expect from this surgery, and what is recovery like?

Hello,

A lower body lift is like a tummy tuck on steroids. The incision goes all the way around the lower tummy generally meeting at the top of the buttocks in the center of your lower back. Recovery is a bit longer than for just a tummy tuck and there are some wound healing risks over and above tummy tuck surgery.

A lower body lift offers the same improvement as a tummy tuck and takes it around the sides into the lower back. It is like a Tummy Tuck plus a Buttock Lift.
