Dysport is the trade name for abobotulinumtoxin A. Dysport is the only FDA approved and most recent competitor to botulinumtoxin A, ( Botox). Side effects are similar between the two drugs. They both relax the muscles that are causing the wrinkles in the same exact way.

Dysport was approved for use in the United States in May 2009 though it has been in use in other countries for many years. Dysport is approved for cosmetic use to treat the lines between the eyebrows, the called the frown lines . As with Botox Dysport has been used on the neck bands , forehead, crow's feet, around the mouth with nice results
