USED FOR THE SAME THINGS AS THE OTHER HYALURONIC FILLERS

Captique was an early hyaluronic acid filler. Unlike its predecessor, Hylaform, which was derived from the comb of the rooster, captique was derived from bacteria. It essentially was used in the same manner as the other hyalruonic acid fillers, Restylane and Juvederm, ie. to treat naso-labial folds, marionette lines. crow's feet etc.

It is felt by many physicians and injectors that it does not last as long as the other fillers and for that reason has fallen out of favor. It actually might not be the stupidiest thing in the world to drop the price, promote it, and revitalize the brand.

Presently, its main use as sort of a start up home, an introduction to the world of fillers. If someone does not like the result the have even less of a time period before it is resorbed.
