Is gynecomastia surgery (male breast reduction) just a version of liposuction for male breasts?

Gynecomastia is a multifactorial problem which when transient is seen in the vast majority of men. It becomes an issue when it does not go away and begins to psychologically impact the lives of those men.

Since the EXTENT of Gynecomastia varies significantly, the treatments of gynecomastia would depend on the extent of the gynecomastia deformities such as the size of your breasts and their content (fat, glandular breast tissue), the ratio of breast fat to breast skin envelope and the amount and elasticity of the breast skin.  While Liposuction may be used in milder cases, combining liposuction with removal of breast tissue may be required in more advanced cases and in worse cases yet, a mastectomy may be needed.
