Possible complications that patients need to be aware of before surgery include:

  • Infection
  • Bleeding
  • Nerve damage
  • Mandible bony absorption (a small layer of bone fades away)
  • Rejection of the implant
  • Lip dysfunction
  • Movement of the implant
