Less is more!

Probably the most recent advance is more of an evolution than advance.  Most rhinoplasty specialists now realize the importance of producing a naturally appearing "improved nose" through rhinplasty so many improvements involve refinements that can be done without drastic and unnatural consequences.  Sometimes this involoves using "crushed cartlige" to reshape the tip appearance or other techniques that serve to reshap the nose into a more aesthetically pleasing shape.  We are less dramatic in our attemps to reshape the nose and have a very high patient satisfaction in the process.
