How are gummy bear implants different from silicone gel implants? Are they even available in the US?

 Dear Ariana Nobles

The silicone implants in the USA have been available through clinical trials.  In Canada they have been available for many years ( on special request) but generally available for a few years.  We now do mostly silicone implants.  i use the Mentor CPG- which is the 'gummy bear' form of the Mentor silicone implant.  

We have had great results with these implants and have not seen any change in the post operative complications.
