Restylane during pregnancy

Steven Hacker, MD answers: Wait until after pregnancy for Restylane?

I'm a 30-ish mother who plans to have another baby. I am seriously unhappy with the wrinkles around my eyes. I was considering having Restylane or some other type of facial injection to treat these lines. I don’t feel comfortable asking my physician if I should wait until after giving birth to give myself a wrinkle erasing.

I would not recommend this. Any procedure that is unnecessary during pregnancy should be avoided and the reason is, what if you have a complication? Then that sets off another set of concerns when you have to treat those complications. My advice to any pregnant female is do not do any cosmetic procedures while pregnant or breast feeding.
