No such thing as too old for revision rhinoplasty

Samson Lee, MD answers: Too old for Revision Rhinoplasty?

I had a poor Rhinoplasty experience 7 years ago at age 50. I am considering Revision Rhinoplasty as the surgeon removed most of the cartilage in the tip of my nose and deepened the boney area high up between my eyes (my nose appears to be "hooked" from left side view), but am I perhaps too old to be considered a good revision candidate?

Age really doesn't have much to do with how you will recover after a revision rhinoplasty. If you are in good health you should do fine. If you are 20 and have multiple medical problems versus 50 with minimal medical problems, the 50 year old would probably do better. We have done facelifts and rhinoplasties on older patients without a problem. Check with your physician to see if you are a good candidate.
