Gynecomastia is enlargement of the breast tissue in males. In the adult male it can be caused by several things such as obesity, alcoholism, certain medication, unresolved adolescent gynecomastia and others.
Correction involves creating a smooth chest contour. So I liposuction the chest thoroughly then make an incision on the skin/areolar junction from the 3:00-9:00 positions and remove the residual breast tissue. A small amount, approximately 1cm, is left on the areola to prevent a concave appearance. With the use of small liposuction cannulas and appropriate excision of tissue it is not difficult to get an excellent result.
