Laser Assisted Liposuction is the gerneral category recognized by the FDA. Smart Lipo is the Breand name of the  Cynosure Corporaton. It is also associated with the MPX and newest TPX forms of SmartLIpo. Most of the research and developement has come from Cynosure.
