Doing a breast lift and augmentation together is a technique surgeons have to learn and be willing to take the time at surgery to sit the patient up to redraw the skin excision and nipple position if they are to achieve good results. Therefore, whether these two procedures are done together or separately is an individual matter for each surgeon. This aside, the question is, why, at a 35DD are you wanting to do an augmentation? At this size, the reasonable thing would be to just do a lift. Adding 400 cc’s to a 36DD will place you in the group of people that I see frequently wishing a breast reduction. There is definitely a happy medium, and going too large creates significant problems. I have almost never had anyone who did this remain completely happy with the result.
