After a pregnancy, it is common for the breasts to lose volume, and for the skin to lose elasticity. The most common approach I have found in the so-called "Mommy Makeover" (which addresses both the breasts and abdominoplasty) is to perform a breast lift (mastopexy) combined with an implant. This serves two purposes: 1) the implant will restore the volume that has been lost, especially in the superior portion of the breast, and 2) the mastopexy will treat the bottom portion of the breast by lifting the tissue upwards. I believe the more important of the two procedures is the breast lift. The goal is to place the position of the breast back where it used to be - this in essence, will provide more of a "perky" look along with a small to moderate sized implant.
