Options for breast lift scar?

Are there other options than the typical lollipop scar for breast lift?

There are many types of scars for a breast lift. The link provided below gives you a discussion of the pros and cons of each.

Remember to consider that the optimal result is the best shape with the least scar.

If I am not using an implant, I think the best result is the lollipop scar, even though it does have more scar than the "Bennelli" or periareolar scar. In this case the vertical scar gives you so much better shaping and lift that it is worth the scar. The lift done with a "Bennelli" scar just doesn't have that nice a shape.

If I am using an implant the story changes. If you want fullness above the nipple, or the breast sitting high on the chest, you want an implant. The implant gives the breast a nice rounded shape, so now I can go for the least amount of scar. Depending on the case, it will be a "Crescent" scar or a "Bennelli" scar.

A: Breast lift options

Yes, there are basically 3 options for a breast lift, and they all depend on the amount of "droopiness" or ptosis of your nipple/arealoa. For minimal ptosis, the incisions can be kept around the areola. This leaves the least noticeable scars. For moderate ptosis, a vertical lift can be done and these scars are around the areola and straight down to the breast fold. This is the "middle-of-the-road" scar. Finally, for severe ptosis, the anchor or inverted "T" incision is used. These scars are the most significant. Nonetheless, all scars heal differently and even the anchor incision can heal to be very inconspicuous. I hope this helps!
