Most of the scars from open brow lifts at the hairline that I have seen done by plastic surgeons have been barely noticeable and well concealed. There are rare occasions when there might be some hair loss just behind the scar, or the scar widens slightly. I have had quite good success with hair transplantation (micro follicular units) to camouflage these scars or areas of thinnng hair. Most of the patients I have had to treat with hair transplantation had the surgery performed by non-plastic surgeons. Be sure to visit with a board certified plastic or facial plastic surgeon and ask about their experience with this particular procedure and if they can treat the scar in the rare case there is a problem.
