Not a proponent of the "one hour face lift" for my patients

Scott W. Mosser, MD answers: What is a one-hour facelift?

I've heard about a "one hour face lift" but I don't know how effective it is or what it involves...is it surgery?  What sort of facelift is this and is it as good as a "traditional" facelift?

I am not a proponent of the "quick lift" or "thread lift" facelift methods for my patients. Usually there is simply more that needs to be done than can be rushed through in an hour, and if your surgeon doesn’t do the full procedure, then you certainly don't get the full result. Also the long terms results are not as beneficial as the modern day, or SMAS facelift.

Patients deserve the very best for themselves, and making the decision to undergo a surgical procedure is not an easy one. Once a patient has decided to pursue a procedure, it is important to make sure you are getting the most you can in the way of long term and natural looking results, as well as a board certified surgeon who is highly experienced in the facelift procedure. When looked at this way, the "shortcut" of doing something like a one hour facelift is not recommended.

It is possible to achieve facial rejuvenation in about an hour with a Liquid Lift.  This non-surgical facelift is performed in-office with the use of dermal-fillers like Restylane, Radiesse, Juvederm, and/or Elevess and may be combined with Botox for remarkable results.

A Liquid-Lift restores facial volume, fills in wrinkles and folds, and erases under-eye bags and hollows.  Some other benefits of a non-surgical facelift include:

  • frees you from worrying about scars
  • frees you from budgeting for surgery
  • frees you from prolonged downtime and recovery

If you would like more information on the Liquid-Lift and to see some of our patient before/after photographs, please take a look at our website:

The best place to start to determine if you are a good candidate for this type of facial rejuvenation is a consultation.  Choose a physician that has experience with this type of treatment.

Best of luck!

I don't know exactly how you were able to find a procedure the gives what can take me 4-6 hours to do tha is done in 1 hour.  Please let me know.  I will share this with my other colleagues as this is truly a "find".  If you look at my web site and have a doctor that can provide you with similar facelift results that can be achieved in one hour, let me know so that I can learn.

My belief is that some physicians and more often "friends" say / hear things that are too good to be true.  However, if you can help me learn about this - remember, we are looking for a procedure that can provide similar results as mine - I will make sure that this procedure is given is true mark in aesthetic history.  Please contact me.  I would love to see the science about this.  I hope you are not being sold expectations that will not be a reality for you.
