Microdermabrasion is not helpful for sebaceous hyperplasia.

Eric M. Joseph, MD answers: Microdermabrasion for sebaceous hyperplasia?

I have a problem with sebaceous hyperplasia (hardened sebaceous glands) on my face. Will Microdermabrasion treatments help reduce the size of these areas?

When sebaceous hyperplasia (benign enlargement of facial oil-glands) becomes a cosmetic problem, you can have them shaved off, or treated with light electrosurgery.

Procedures like this are best performed after the summer, and patient satisfaction is very high.

I hope this helps, and best regards.
