Farbod Esmailian, MD answers: Who is qualified to do liposuction?

Can any doctor do liposuction, or would I need to see a specialist of some kind?  Thank you.

Any physician can perform any procedure.  But you need to find a board certified plastic surgeon if you want someone who is qualified and trained in performing liposuction.

Dont be fooled by the gimmicks that are out there, search for the surgeon who should be performing these types of surgeries.
