Lip Reduction or Wisdom Teeth Extraction First?

I will be having a lip reduction procedure. I also have been advised to get wisdom teeth taken out. Which procedure should be done first and why?

Lip reduction or wisdom teeth extraction first?

Do NOT take "wisdom"teeth extraction lightly. I would advise you do it oNLY if you absolutely must do it since they are associated with some real nasty potential complications (Such as dry socket syndrome, fracture of the mandible (in people over 50 whose jaws have begun to narrow) and even nerve injuries associated with lip numbness). Now , with the "cheerful" thoughts out of the way - I agree, I would do the definitive lip surgery, IF INDICATED, after the selling, if any, from the tooth surgery is gone.

Good Luck.

Changing your teeth before your lips

Like framing a house before doing the finish work, you should generally do your teeth before your lips.  Wisdom teeth, though, may be an exception because their removal shouldn't really affect your lips.

I would recommend pulling teeth prior to lip reduction

Althouigh it is unlikely that your remaining teeth will move, it is possible that they will after wisdom teeth extraction. This could effect the amount of dental show when you smile.
